from the comfort of my bed i could go anywhere

by Tomb Svalborg.

from the comfort of my bed i could go anywhere‘ is a EP inspired by the worlds I escape to when I don’t have the energy to get out of bed. Each track is very different from the next, yet intended to offer some sort of comfort.

Nora Segerdahl designed the fantastic cover art.

1. from the comfort of my bed i could go anywhere

This track is my invitation to let your mind wander. Imagine soaring above a forest, floating on serene water, or stargazing, all from the comfort of your bed. It sets the scene for the whole EP, a glimpse of the stories awaiting.

2. doomscrolling cottagecore

Enter a secluded cottage nestled deep in the woods. You know the drill. Crackle of the fire and rustle of leaves and no notifications. And then you realize, you are slowly going insane. Oops.

3. blursday bubbles

This track is an offbeat exploration of wasting time. A ode to laziness and aimlessness. Because sometimes you (and I) need a reminder that it’s okay to just be as time ticks.
…Even if a friend’s kid dubbed it the “farting track.” :<

4. hercules at the bottom of the ocean

With this ambient track I tried to captures the sense of wonder and awe that comes with exploring the depths of the ocean. Inspired by my passion for watching ROV dives like Nautilus Live and Schmidt Ocean Institute. A lot of people are scared by the depths of the ocean. But I think it is something special about sinking into the darkness, surrounded by strange and wondrous creatures. Especially from the safety of your own home!

5. to express sorrow through apology

And then we close out the EP with some space music. This track is inspired by Becky Chamber’s writing. Sometimes the most meaningful journeys are the quiet ones.

I wonder what await beyond the comfort of our beds.
